Art is Something I get paid for once in a while

Meeting of Styles Copenhagen 2021

Punta loves to do big projects and right now he is halfway through a project of painting his way through Montana Black's colorchart of 187 different colors as 187 different pieces. With just one color and black and white.
Ambigram-pieces and throw-ups are also common elements in Punta's style.


When did you start painting and how did you get into it?

Started around 2004 when I met my crewmates who introduced me to graffiti.

Describe your style

Happy, easy and fun, with big highlights and often with a twist.

What are your inspirations?

Right now I get very inspired by looking at other writers work. In real life, on social media and videos on internet.
I am inspired by people who are dedicated to what they are doing. Sofles, Gouge and Code26 are big inspirations right now.

What is special about your home city and it's art scene?

Gothenburg are the second largest city in Sweden with an big active scene. Lots of legal places, tracksides and trams. Many active writers. Friendly scene.

What is your favourite painting location so far and what makes this your favourite?

I really love to travel and paint. So I think I will say may trips around in Balkan.

What would be your dream location/collaboration/project?

One dream is to get a spray sponsor another is to do a longer tour for maybe 2-3 months and paint new cities, big murals, tracksides. Everything is organized and I can just travel along and paint paint paint paint.

Describe a perfect painting day

Wake up, and then just travel around the city and paint different spots. Meet up with friends. And just paint paint paint.

What does graffiti/street art mean to you?

Graffiti means a lot to me. First comes my family, then comes the graffiti.

Are you more into solo artworks or into collaborative productions?

Since I had children, it has mostly been a solo project, but a good collaboration is gold. But usually it is easiest to do something yourself.

Who are your favourite artist(s) to collaborate with so far?

Lots of them. Usually paint and collaborate with Code26.

What do you think about Meeting of Styles and painting jams in general?

Very nice. Its always fun to meet writers and friends from all over the globe.

How do you see the rise of street art and new tendencies like big scale muralismo?

Positive. More of everything.

How do you see the commercialisation of graffiti and street art?

Its no problems for me or in my scene back home I think.

What do you think about social media in terms of graffiti and how do you think it affects the scene?

Likes it quite a lot, thinks that at the moment it has found its role. Another fun bonus part.

Name the aspects you dislike about graffiti/street art

Dirty clothes and take a lot of time and money.

Name the aspects you love about graffiti/street art

Being creative, friends, pushing down the cap and hear the sound of spray paint.

In your opinion, what is the most exciting thing happening these years in graffiti or street art?

Difficult question, but to see all the awesome painters and styles around.

Does your personal situation affect your way of painting?

Have two small children, so need to be effective in my painting. Quick paintings, find gaps in everyday life.

If you could compare your style with music, what would it sound like?

Something happy and easy.

What is the most current topics of modern society for you?

Class divisions and injustices.

If you were president or king, what would you change?

Hopefully I have a big team with great people around me to do the thinking,. But try to make the world more friendly.
